Cache Level 3 and Early Learning Centres

Posted on September 18, 2023

Early learning centres are a critical part of the UAE’s education system and provide an invaluable service to families who may not be able to afford or manage home-based care. These centres help children to develop the skills they need for life and provide a safe environment in which to grow socially and academically. It is important that these centres are well-equipped and staffed with qualified teachers to ensure that children receive the best quality education.

If you want to start working with children in a nursery, school or childminder setting then a CACHE qualification could be the right choice for you. CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) are a leading awarding organisation who endorse a variety of childcare and education courses. These qualifications are Ofqual regulated and will give you a recognised certificate when you complete the course.

This course is available to anyone aged 16 or over, and you don’t need any previous childcare or education experience to take it. It is a one year course and will prepare you to progress on to the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator). It also has UCAS points allocated to it if you’re thinking of applying to university.

The CACHE level 3 course is a knowledge-based qualification which will teach you all about the different stages of a child’s development and how to meet their physical and emotional needs. It will also cover how to create a safe environment for young children and how to plan and deliver activities which are age-appropriate. The course is delivered through a combination of college based teaching days and assessed work practice at a childminder or nursery.

In addition to childcare, there are also a number of CACHE courses that can help you find a job as a Teaching Assistant. The three courses we offer that can lead to a teaching assistant role are the Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools – CACHE Level 2 Certificate (RQF) Course, the Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools – CACHE Level 3 Diploma (RQF) Course and the Teaching Assistant in Primary School – CACHE Level 3 Diploma (RQF) course.

All of these qualifications are endorsed by Ofqual and will give you a nationally recognised certificate when you successfully complete the course. The Teaching Assistant in Primary School – CACHE level 3 Diploma (RQF) course is the most comprehensive and is designed to get you into a full time teaching assistant role straight away. You can start this course any time of the year and learn at your own pace with full tutor support for up to 12 months from the date you register. All of the above courses are open to everyone and you don’t need any prior childcare or education experience to be able to study them. We also offer a range of other short courses which will lead to a recognised certificate at the end, and we would recommend you look at our full list of available courses before choosing which one is the best fit for you.
